Description
We are looking for a kind, patient and compassionate Personal Assistant to support a friendly lady living with dementia who wishes to remain in her own home. The role focuses on providing companionship, gentle encouragement and practical support with day-to-day tasks, including preparing drinks and light snacks, encouraging hydration, supporting personal care when needed, and helping her enjoy activities in the community such as lunch clubs, chapel, local markets or occasional outings. Building a trusting relationship that promotes independence, dignity and wellbeing is at the heart of this rewarding role.
We are also looking for someone who can work collaboratively with the support team currently in place.
Key responsibilities
Companionship
Support to have a bath and other personal care when required
Support to prepare evening drinks and snacks and encouragement to eat
General household support (cleaning, laundry, shopping & errands) when required
Support to access the community, including transport when required
Essential requirements
Applicants must:
Be self-employed
Hold a full, clean UK driving licence
Have access to a roadworthy vehicle
Hold a current Enhanced DBS
Have public liability insurance
Have a Unique Taxpayer Reference (UTR) from HMRC

This role requests a self-employed person to provide services directly to the client. You will be paid by them and not our organisation.
