We are not a care agency, we’re a community-rooted workforce movement
The PA Collective connects people with meaningful, flexible work that helps others live with choice, control, and dignity, right here in Cornwall.
We focus on lifestyle support, not traditional care. Our PAs are matched with roles as unique and diverse as the communities they serve.

Bank roles
Our bank PAs step in during critical moments, such as hospital discharge or sudden changes for people at home. Bank work is flexible and meaningful; it’s about being there when timely support makes the difference.
This could include:
- Helping someone stabilise at home
- Sitting/companionship so carers can take a break
- Shopping, cleaning, or pet care
- Helping with admin or attending appointments
Visits can range from one hour to multiple hours, even overnight. It’s a great way to top up income on your terms. No pressure, no obligation to say yes.
Permanent Roles
Permanent PAs support people with long-term health conditions or disabilities to live independently.
This might include:
- Supporting education, work or hobbies
- Helping run a household
- Providing personal care (e.g. bathing, toileting)
You help shape the support based on each person’s needs, interests, and preferences. Roles range from a few hours a week to full-time, so there’s something for everyone.
Bank and permanent roles
Choosing both means you get the best of both worlds. You’ll have the stability of a permanent role while keeping the freedom to pick up extra bank shifts when it suits you.
This could look like:
- A regular role with someone you support every week
- Extra hours to support someone’s hospital discharge, crisis, or holiday cover
- Building strong relationships while still keeping variety in your work
It’s a great balance, reliable income with the flexibility to do more when you want to.
