Description
We are looking for a kind, friendly and reliable Personal Assistant to support a happy individual with a physical disability and some reading and writing difficulties.
Role 1
The role involves supporting them to enjoy outings such as visits to Flicka Donkey Sanctuary or Sailability (support person on Wheeley boat) providing support to access the community safely.
Key Responsibilities:
Support to access the community safely
Respond to circumstances if need arises, such as:
• Support with rollator
• Help with putting wet weather/ safety gear
• Sunblock application
• Hat or coat when required
• Awareness of risks
Role 2
Assisting with personal care including washing, monitoring skin health alongside a weekly nursing visit. There will also be some light household tasks, including changing bedding, dusting and vacuuming. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who enjoys building positive relationships and helping someone live as independently and safely as possible.
Key Responsibilities:
Support to monitor the condition of skin (a Nurse comes weekly to assess)
Medication support (no administration) removal, application of barrier, and refit of support socks
General household support (cleaning, laundry)
Transport and support to access the community if required
Essential requirements
Applicants must:
Be self-employed
Hold a full, clean UK driving licence
Have access to their own roadworthy vehicle
Hold a current Enhanced DBS
Have public liability insurance
Have a Unique Taxpayer Reference (UTR) from HMRC

This role requests a self-employed person to provide services directly to the client. You will be paid by them and not our organisation.
