Description
The individual was discharged from hospital in June following heart surgery. This has had a significant impact on daily living and independence, and the individual is still adjusting to these changes. The individual is profoundly deaf and communicates via text message, face to face she will use a whiteboard and pen. Ongoing practical support is required to maintain safety and wellbeing.
Personal attributes and experience
Patient, calm and compassionate approach
Experience supporting individuals with complex health needs
Strong written communication skills
Comfortable communicating via text message only
Reliable and trustworthy
Key responsibilities
Light household tasks such as bed changes, light cleaning and waste disposa
Support with appointments
Shopping, or completing shopping on their behalf
Assistance with correspondence, benefits and setting up bill payments
Essential requirements
Great communication skills
Relevant Training/Qualifications
Proof of self-employment in the UK, insurance & DBS check
Flexibility & adaptability to adapt to changing demands or unexpected situations
Full driving licence, access to a vehicle + business cover
Data Protection and Confidentiality – follows UK GDPR regulations
