An older gentleman in the Helston area with Parkinson’s and Dementia is looking for support for a minimum of 3 hours a week to start with. The client is no longer able to access the community and is looking for someone to sit with him quietly, perhaps read to him, providing friendly conversation and companionship. Every day is different and he requires someone reliable with flexibility and the ability to act on instinct.

He enjoys being read to, looking through photo albums and books, and chatting about his children and interests. These include gardening, history, old buildings, boats and cars. The successful applicant will have a great deal of experience with Dementia care and have strong communication and listening skills, patience and empathy.
