Description
An opportunity has arisen for a reliable and patient Personal Assistant to support a gentleman living in the St Ives area. The role includes assisting with sourcing and taking his medication and encouraging him to manage his personal cleanliness, although he keeps himself quite tidy.
Some assistance with household organisation would also be welcome, to keep the house clean and tidy, laundry and shopping. A PA who has experience with dementia & Alzheimer’s would be ideal, due to the gentleman’s condition, as he is living with quite severe short-term memory loss.
It would be desirable for the PA to hold a full driving license and have access to a roadworthy vehicle. This would enable trips out locally and assistance to attend appointments. This would also benefit the gentleman to become more sociable and improve his confidence, which has been affected by the onset of the disease.
Essential requirements
Applicants must:
Be self-employed
Hold a current Enhanced DBS (or willing to get one)
Hold the relevant insurance, including business vehicle insurance

This role requests a self-employed person to provide services directly to the client. You will be paid by them and not our organisation.
