Description
An individual with Fragile X syndrome and a learning disability is looking for a self employed PA to provide consistent, understanding assistance at home and in the community. Due to some difficulties with communication, memory, and processing information, they require patient, reliable support to build confidence and independence. The individual is currently supported mainly by family and can feel anxious about new people, so this role would suit a calm, trustworthy PA who is keen to develop a positive, supportive relationship and make a meaningful difference in everyday life.
Key responsibilities
Support to walk the dog
Support to access the community and trips out
Support to visit friends
Promoting independence
Support with communication when required
Transport and support to access the community
Essential requirements
Be self-employed
Hold a full, clean UK driving licence
Have access to their own roadworthy vehicle
Hold a current Enhanced DBS
Have public liability insurance
Have a Unique Taxpayer Reference (UTR) from HMRC
Have relevant experience supporting individuals with disabilities, long-term health conditions, or neurodivergence
