Description

A reliable and supportive Personal Assistant is required to provide four hours of one to one assistance on Sundays to help an individual maintain important routines and access their local community. The primary purpose of this role is to offer practical support that enables the person to attend weekly church services and enjoy social activities such as visiting a café or going out for lunch.
Support will generally be needed from 9am to 1pm, though some flexibility is required. Church services take place across a number of locations within a group of churches, meaning start times and travel requirements may vary each week. The Personal Assistant must be comfortable adapting to these changes and supporting the person to arrive on time and return home safely.

Personal attributes and experience

Reliable, punctual and able to commit to regular Sunday support

Calm, patient and understanding, especially when plans vary week to week

Friendly, respectful and comfortable providing companionship

Confident supporting someone in community settings

Key responsibilities

Encouragement to pursue hobbies and interests

Accompanying and assisting in the community (e.g., country walks)

Essential requirements

Great communication skills

Relevant Training/Qualifications

Proof of self-employment in the UK, insurance & DBS check

Flexibility & adaptability to adapt to changing demands or unexpected situations

Full driving licence, access to a vehicle + business cover

Data Protection and Confidentiality – follows UK GDPR regulations
