Description
I am looking for a patient, reliable and understanding Personal Assistant to support me both at home and when I am out and about, helping me to stay safe and feel comfortable. I have Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, sensory processing needs, global developmental delay and a severe learning disability, which can make busy, noisy or unpredictable environments overwhelming for me. I enjoy going to cafés, walking, swimming, kayaking and watching films, as well as doing jigsaws and baking. I don't require personal care, but I would value someone who is calm, supportive and able to help me manage different environments while encouraging me to enjoy the activities I love. The PA must be a positive and happy person, as I really thrive on this!
Key responsibilities
General household support (cleaning, laundry, meal preparation)
Encouragement with daily activities
Support with communication when required
Transport and support to access the community
No personal care is required
Essential requirements
Hold a full, clean UK driving licence
Have access to a roadworthy vehicle
Hold a current Enhanced DBS
