Description
I am looking for a friendly, reliable and confident Personal Assistant/Companion to spend approximately 16 hours a week with me.
I am a sociable 34-year-old man with a childhood-acquired brain injury. I am physically mobile and active, but I have some cognitive vulnerabilities and also have epilepsy and Type 2 diabetes. I benefit from support with planning, decision-making, safety awareness and navigating unfamiliar situations.
This is not a traditional “care” role. I am looking for someone who can help me enjoy a fuller, more independent adult life - getting out and about, going to events, rock music festivals, days out and social activities.

Flexible and willing to work occasional weekends and overnight stays
Willing to travel within the UK and potentially overseas with Fraser
Calm and responsible in unexpected situations
Able to encourage independence while providing appropriate support
Essential requirements
Be self-employed
Hold a full, clean UK driving licence
Have access to a roadworthy vehicle
Hold a current Enhanced DBS
Have public liability insurance
Have a Unique Taxpayer Reference (UTR) from HMRC
