A chatty, outgoing young man in the Liskeard area is looking for a patient, experienced PA to support him to maintain his independence and get out and about. The client has spinocerebellar ataxia and Parkinsonian needs, so their coordination and balance is affected by this and they also experience tremors. Due to their condition, the client can sometimes need a lot of processing time and is prone to becoming repetitive – so the successful applicant will absolutely need a lot of patience and experience.

£15.84 per hour

20 hours per week (mainly non-term time)

Schedule: Flexible but Mon and Thurs evenings as a definite

Support Required

The client is looking for support to get out and about, attending events, the cinema, and generally experiencing life. They attend LiveWire in Saltash every Monday and Thursday evening, so would require a PA to facilitate their attendance. The family home has 2 dogs and 3 cats, so someone comfortable with animals is essential.

Support with accessing the community

Providing transport to LiveWire twice a wee

Essential requirements

Great communication skills

Flexibility & adaptability to adapt to changing demands or unexpected situations

Full driving licence, access to a vehicle + business cover

Relevant Training/Qualifications

Proof of self-employment in the UK, insurance & DBS check

Data Protection and Confidentiality – follows UK GDPR regulations
