Description
We are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and patient Personal Assistant to provide support to an 87-year-old gentleman who is living with the early stages of dementia.
This is a rewarding opportunity to support someone in maintaining their independence and wellbeing within their own home.
Extra hours may be offered after a settling in period.
Duties will include
Providing reassurance and supervision while the client showers and gets ready for the day
Offering gentle prompts and encouragement where required
Supporting the client to maintain their daily routine
Ensuring the client's safety and wellbeing at all times
Providing companionship and building a positive, trusting relationship
The ideal candidate will
Be patient, caring, and respectful
Have a good understanding of dementia or be willing to learn
Be reliable and trustworthy
Have excellent communication skills
Be able to work independently while remaining attentive to the client's needs
Essential requirements
Applicants must:
Hold a full, clean UK driving licence
Have access to a roadworthy vehicle
Hold a current Enhanced DBS

This role requests a self-employed person to provide services directly to the client. You will be paid by them and not our organisation.
