Personal Assistant Wanted – Fun, Friendly, and Energetic!
We are looking for a vibrant, kind, and energetic Personal Assistant with a great sense of humour to support a wonderful young man with Down Syndrome and a learning disability.
About the role
You’ll assist with a variety of activities, including swimming, boogie boarding, tennis, cinema trips, going to the pub/playing pool, and volunteering
Up to 4 sessions per week, 5 hours each (flexible arrangements possible)
1 overnight per month (at home or camping
Key responsibilities
Support with emotional well-being and reassurance to build confidence
Social inclusion, groups and peer activities
Support to access public transport
Shopping and budgeting support
Support to maintain an develop friendships and relationships
Learning new daily living skills such as cooking and household chores
Support to look for/engage in voluntary work or training
To go to the pub, play pool, listen to live music, cinema trips
Essential requirements
Great communication skills
Flexibility & adaptability to adapt to changing demands or unexpected situations
Full driving licence, access to a vehicle + business cover
Relevant Training/Qualifications
Proof of self-employment in the UK, insurance & DBS check
Data Protection and Confidentiality – follows UK GDPR regulations
