We’re looking for a kind and patient support worker to work with a creative young man who loves music, gaming, and movies — especially trips to the cinema. He’s an animal lover with three dogs and a cat, and he’s currently studying Creative Music Technology at university.
He can be shy at first but soon opens up once he feels comfortable, so patience and understanding are key. He is legally blind and would benefit from someone who can help him build trust, confidence, and independence, while showing him that there’s a world of opportunities he can access.
Support will include shopping for food, cooking, and helping him gain confidence travelling and getting out into the community, including building skills to use public transport safely and independently.
This is a great opportunity for someone who’s empathetic, encouraging, and enjoys helping others grow in confidence and independence.
